Tony and Peter Chotem (sons of renowned Canadian pianist/composer/arranger Neil Chotem) have been performing as Double Helix since 2000.  They have been active jazz performers in the greater Vancouver area for over 20 years playing concerts, festivals, clubs, restaurants, and corporate events all over the Lower Mainland.

They have toured extensively throughout Canada and have recently begun touring in the USA.  As composers, guitarists, producers, and engineers, they have completed many recording projects, including two all-original instrumental jazz albums, and they are among the better-known jazz guitar ensembles in Canada.

They are repeat performers at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival who described them this way:

"Guitarist brothers Tony and Peter Chotem play lush original jazz. With tantalizing hints of rock, folk, Latin, and blues, their mix of acoustic and electric guitars is cool and inviting.”
